Just my own experience, but I used Slick 50 in my 81 XS, and it got me through another summer. Phoned head office in Toronto to find out if it would affect my clutch, and they said no, it just adheres to metal. Admittedly, I should have rebuilt the poor thing, (motor) but as usual time and money were in short supply. There are probably many adverse reasons for not using additives, but heck, I rode for the whole summer and dang the consequences!Education is when you read the " fine print ". Experience is what you get if you don't.

lucas
according to lucas with wet clutch applications use only a 10% ratio of lucas to your motor oil. most testimonial about lucas in bikes come from the harley industry which have seperate systems.
the lucas product is awesome. the regular additive will do wonders for a car/truck engine or tranny and the fuel additive is the bomb. i would rate it every bit as good as the revered sea foam.
and plus they just bought the naming rights to our new stadium here in indianapolis to play home of the colts.
