Introducing ATTILA - eat UR heart out

This is a digustingly perfect example of a pristine 1981 XS1100 SH.

Attila belongs to our very own Dan Hodges. He sent me these photos and I simply couldn't resist posting them for all to see.

    Isn't that SuperTrapp DA BOMB?

It must be a sickness. Looks like he cleans with a toothbrush.

This is the bike that thumped a V-Rod like a step child...hehehe...

I know this bike has numerous mods. Not sure what all he has done to it but I think he said ported head by Nigel Patrick (Patrick Racing), Web Cams, Wiesco Kit, and other stuff. No telling what this monster is putting to the pavement.

Maybe he'll chime in here...DAN? DAN?? You out there?

It looks so new it's unbelievable. Never ridden a Special, but with all that extra power I'd have thought they'd flip over backwards too easily.

Two things easy for most men to agree on:

                  Beautiful bikes

                  Beautiful women...

                    Just gorgeous.

I had a 81SH and the thing I liked the most about was the deep blue-flake in the paint. In the sun it looked so deep you could swim in it!

Please tell me that this one has the original paint!

I've been looking into the Web Cams, has anyone dyno'ed the street set, or at least measured it on the butt dyno? I would assume you could only get really good results with a ported head, but I would love to see/hear any results on these.

I would like to thank my friend Cody for putting ole Attila on showtime for me as I was too stupid to post it myself.I bought this bike new in the summer of 81 at Donelson's cycles in St.Louis.It has 37000 miles on it but was taken down to the bone at 32000 and the engine was gone through by myself. The engine has Nigel Patrick ported head's, 72.5 mm Yamaha service pack piston's,Light weight after market wrist pin's,Web Cam's,modified 81 carburetor's,altered ignition advancer,Lockhart 600 automatic oil cooler,Yamaha clutch pack with stiff spring's (regular oil alway's),Kerker or Super/Trapp header's with Super/Trapp's at this time. The Super Trapp's have two different muffler's,one gutted and one baffled,or how loud can you stand it.Stiffer fork spring's,79 SF speedometer, handlebar's from a standard and a handlebar clamp from a V-Max,a stock Eleven backrest and a spare NOS leather seat for a 81 midnight Special round out the package.I'm probaly forgetting something but that's most of it.Oh yes,the paint and chrome is as it came from Yamaha in June of 81.To say that it takes lot's of wax and Mothers polish to keep one looking like this is an understatement but it can be done.Attila has never spent one night outside in it's life, but has stayed in more than a few Motel sixes over the years.Actually I brought this bike back out to thump my neighbor's restored 79 Honda CBX and what Attila does to the big Red six cylinder CBXer is practically criminal. How much power does Attila make,I do not know but it's not as quick as my V-Max.
81 Black "1179" Xcessively trick Super Special. One owner (me).
