    1979 XS1100SF

This is an outstanding looking and running survivor, purchased from the original owner who hadn’t ridden it since 1983. Since then it has been meticulously, fanatically brought up to full riding specifications.

Stored inside its whole life, everything is original, seat-pipes-instruments-tank-side covers-grips-levers. Even comes with original tool kit!
    26,000 miles.

You will search long and hard before you'll find a nicer one, delivery to your door for $350.00 over the price.

Here are the particulars, no excuses with this bike, its ready to ride home right now. No cracked side covers, carbs have fresh CV rubbers with new jets, K&N filter inside the airbox, all fuel lines and vacuum lines replaced with Motion Pro grey lines-no worries about leaky old cracked lines ruining your trip!

If there was something that needed to be fixed, it was, not patched together by a gorilla with a 1/2 drive torque wrench stripping every bolt on the bike. In fact, most of the bolts on this bike never seen a wrench on them, indicating the motor is as built by the precision workers in Yamaha Japan who first assembled it.

Tank and Side Covers Professionally Painted
    New Parts:
    Battery
    Tires
    Fork Seals
    Front Brakes
    Spark Plugs

Hold me back! Good thing I've run out of room in my carport - sort of a self-imposed quota system....

Gee, too bad the emblem mounts are bondo'ed over. IMHO, it'll never look complete without emblems. Other than that, a sweet looking bike.

The front turn signals are mounted on the side of headlight on all specials. Some small fairings require relocating the turnsignals.

                  Where?

So, where is it? I wonder how long a ride I get to take.

Yeah, it's missing the grab rail!! But it does have the 160 speedo, and the OEM buckhorns, yeehaw!

Dick, following his profile, clicked on his web site link, to his Ebay Store, says Frazier Park....United States?? Clicked on Item in his store, scrolled down to payment and shipping, he charges tax for items shipped to California, so I assume he's in Frazier Park, Ca.!

                        Update on all the questions!

Thanks for all the kind words about the bike, and even the not so kind.

Yes, the rear grab rail is missing, if you had seen the hideous backrest on this bike, you would have removed it too. Tried, for about 8 months now, to find a 79 grab rail. Saw several, most of them were 90.00 plus. Anyone have a OEM unit for a reasonable price?

Also, the front Yamaha emblem was missing, and I looked for one of those too, in fact I bought one-it didnt fit, so I gave up on finding one.

So you now know the two items I tried to find to make it perfect, but struck out.

The bike is in South-Central California, Frazier Park. 1/2 way between Valencia and Bakersfield. On the top of the Grapevine, for those who might know where that is.............

Bike is still for sale, if you know anyone who might be interested!

                        Mike

Yeah, they did, all the Yammie Specials of whatever displacement did. Looks like stock pattern seat cover. Too bad the badges are missing. Clamp on mirrors are a turn-off to me, stock pattern (with thinner stems) are available from Mikes XS, Dennis Kirk & JC Whitney. Still, a very nice example.
                            Shiny side up,
