  • TC! After 2 years as an "exploded diagram ..."

Yippee! Arlington's back together an' arunnin' great!
I'm not necessarily bragging, but ...
She's been (almost) totally apart: switches cleaned, case split, rubber-gaskets-seals changed, and I've lubricated everything!
Oh YEAH! It's thanks to the XS11.com family of mechanics/owners, their TIPS, the right service manuals, some $, and patience.
(It also helps to have tools, goops, & a warm place to "operate"!)

    We're on the road again!

          Some assembly required!

          Hey Rick,

That's great news! I was just surprised to see the subject of this thread, wasn't sure if you were actually addressing me? It oughta be addressed to the whole FORUM, but you did express that in the body of your message! Can't wait to see the photos!

Your Avatar gives us a hint of what's to come!

              So far, so GOOD!

              TC,
Of course, I DO address it to the whole forum, but I have to say that I'm especially proud to get the machine together as I think the designers intended - thanks to YOU GUYS!
The reason I addressed it to you was because of your, one, incredulous response: "WHY do you have the cases SPLIT??" (01-08-2005 - my first posting).
I just wanted you to know that your very helpful "Hints, Tips, & Tricks", along with the other Owner/Mechanic's posts, links, and Tech Tips, have gotten me through a really big project: disassembling and re-assembling a whole, 21-year-old motorcycle - with very few problems!
All of you must be commended!
Your heart is in the right place. I know by the beginning of the next post in the thread: "Well, since you're already in there, you may want to closely inspect ..."
I shall continue to monitor and to contribute to XS11.com.
A big "Thank You!" to all who contribute to our maintaining the "Mechanical Art"!
