  • Should I?

I put these factory X1 saddle bags on and can't decide if I should paint them to match the bike or keep them black. And if I paint them to match the bike, should I keep the center section black or paint it with the rest?

Wada ya all think? Should I or should I not?

That's a tough call if you ask me...
I've had over 25 bikes in my life. Nothing compares to my 1978 XS1100E......

      "Paint it black..."

      (Obey the Master)
Paint everything to match the bike.

I agree with prometheus. The tank, fender, fairing, sidecovers all match. Bags should too.

However it might be a nice little feature to leave the bag "insert" black.

        BTW...cool looking bags...what brand?

I think that the bags should be the bike's blue and the insert should be the color of the seat.

My E is all blue with a black trunk. I've felt that the trunk blue would be too much.

Pat... from that angle the trunk matches the inside of the fairing, and matches nicely with the black stripe on the tank.
Then again, Rover's ride tends to flow harmoniously, too.
Actually... I've changed my vote, and am now in favor of Travis' suggestion!
