  • When Vise-Grips can't do it...

My oil filter housing bolt is stripped to the point of vise grips not being able to break it loose. Suggestions??

Take the bike to a welding shop, jam on a larger nut and have them tack it with a few spots. That shoold give you enough grip with a fresh 6-point socket and a long bar to get it free. Just before they hit it with the welder, unplug the brain box and disconnect the battery just to be safe.

      GatorGrip socket worked for me.

I was able to hammer on a smaller socket and break it loose. the bolt was rendered worthless but partsnmore has them pretty cheap.
