Does the tank require any modifying, or is it a 'plug n play' swap? What is the capacity?

      A falling Star?

      Well, John,

Just checked the specs on the 2006 V-stars, the Classic is 4.5 gallons, the Custom is only 4.2 Gallons! So...doesn't look like too big a gain there, and I'm sure they are quite pricey!

          v-star tank

the v-star tank rubber side boots fit perfect, you have to make an S-shaped metal bracket for the bottom of the tank to the frame not very hard!!!

                  Some pics from Chop

The flat black one is an 80g with only 19k original miles. Different signals, special headlight and aftermarket seat. The gas tank is being lined with a new plastic polymer that is badass. I will probably sell her this spring. I have another one that’s chopped on,out in the shop that I will get to when it warms up. I don’t work in the cold!!! The blue xs has been sitting all winter in those pics. It has really been worked over. Just about everything that could have been taken off and made from stainless steele has. All bolts, fasteners, carb hangers, handlebars, headlight mounts, brake lines, banjo bolts, and fender hanger is 100% stainless.that triple tree bolt is a custom stainless piece Near the drag-specialties speedo. I really recommended the dynatec coils. She fires right up. Even if she’s a little cold!!! I have the stainless side covers that built but didn’t really like because they are somewhat of a hassle to put on/take off because of the hidden hardware if anyone is interested, they have the early “slots” in them for top mounting. The new side cover is a 1-piece fiberglass incorporated into the low profile seat there. It removes instantly to access everything. I still haven’t decided to paint it blue or black the whole bike yet. What do you think? I have pics of the v-star tank (Pic 74)installed .By the way that is a fat-bob fender with l.e.d. signals. It’s being photoshopped to see what it will look like with the chain drive….thanks again…chop

Like I was saying earlier, check out photobucket.com. It makes it easy with simultanious multiple up loads, and it will even pre-tag the urls so all you have to do is copy the link location and paste it right into the text. I don't know what the storage limit is but it must be large, cuz I have tons in mine and have never emptied it.
