79 xs11 special left switch control

You know how the left handle bar switch for turn signals/high/low beam is always trashed and never works right? I see Mikes xs has something that looks exactly like what would fit on a 1100. Has anyone tried using one?

.. the switch housings from Mikes will work on your 1100 but you may have to change the plugs where they plug into your bike and you may have to sort out where the wires go.. none of this is hard but it is time consuming
.. i have used the 650 housings on my 1100s and vise-versa, i had to change the plugs sometimes to make them work.. its been awile, but you might get lucky and the 650 stuff might just plug right in.. try it and let us know

Keep us posted Mac, I'm looking to score a new set for my bike as well ... as soon as I get a little extra cash. I'm replacing my handle bars, and while I'm at it, I'm putting new grips, controls, mirrors ... the whole works.

Well I emailed Mikesxs and they're not sure what models they all fit. He basically said that Yamaha gives very little information on what part numbers cross reference. So I guess I'm going to be the "GNEPIG" on this one

Ask them if they could shoot you a picture of the wiring ends. Looked at some 650's on ebay last night and they have quite a bit different connectors.

I asked them for a picture, and I also asked them if they could measure the lengths of the wires.
