Can anyone help me with this

I tore down the Carbs that were on my bike (found one bad Diaphragm) the rest look good. Tore into the extra set of carbs I picked-up for parts. (THEY ARE ALL BAD)

Where would one get some new ones.

I will call CYCLE-RE-CYCLE in the Morning.
    I E-Mailed John at Zanotti
And Parts N More is Sold out.

I just put on 4 new Boots. Why not 4 new Diaphragms

for what it's worth- i've read in another post that some folks use- NAPA 765-2527 plastic dip spray. so maybe look around in the posts for a similar subject- and you will probably find "the rest of the story"-good day and this isn't paul harvey. just xjguy!

      I got 4 New one's coming from Cycle-Re-Cycle
      $69.99 Ea.

Motorcyclecarbs.com said they could get them.
They are $80 each and available but I have to order them. S/H is 7.95, but if you wish to add insurance, add $2 to insure it.

Payment via www.paypal.com to robreil@robreil.com for the total with 3% added to the total will get the order underway

Yes but the ones at www.partsnmoreonline.com are listed for 81-82 model years. what would the differance be? I am wondering if these would work in my 79?

              Hey there Tim,
I remember seeing a UK Xser post a message on the old Yahoo list about a company that rebuilds the diaphragms, you could do a search, and possibly send them/it over there for a rebuild. Or you could take the mantle where I think Denny Z left off in doing a fix with cutouts from a thick rubber glove posted in this web site Forum!?
From what I've read here the slides are a bit different between the earlier years and the later ones, like NONadjustable needles and such....so not sure if a newer version would work in your older carbs?? Good Luck.

Rick, see Ken Talbot's Prototype of Carb Diaphragm Replacement - maybe you'll be the one to test a working version!

Do you have pinholes, very small tears, or what? Pinholes and some very very small tears can be patched with plasti-dip.

                  Mike.

                  1. Had been burnt from P.O.
The other 4 from a back-up set I had purchased had pin holes 4 equily spaced 1/2" in from the outside edge. ? on all four.

I Purchased four new one's I figure these are 20+ years old and have not been used in 7 years (By P.O.) so I replaced them with new and put fpur new boots on also.

Should be good to go on rubber goods.

The firm over here in the UK that fits new diapragms to your old slides is NRP. The address is http://www.camteksystems.com/hosting/nrp/
and the current price for the XS11E is £31. I don't know if that is each or for a set. I have a feeling that it is each, which makes it quite expensive for a set of 4.
