    Nigel,

I can fix them, but before you ship it 'across the pond', tell us why you think your problem is in the box?

        Nigel,

If you're handy with electrons, give my trouleshooting guide a try. It's on my website under the heading "TCI Repairs"

        Randy's XS page

After that, if you're still stuck, you can ship it to me and i'll fix it for $50 U.S. return shipping included. I'll e-mail you my address once you decide.

Your problem sounds more like the pick-up coils. Later 'Dog

Hi Dog,Dont think it is the pick up coils. If you swop the wires going to coils and run screw driver over the pick up it swops to the other set of plugs In other words swops from 1-4 not working to 2-3 not working

I think it would also do that if the pick up coils weren't working, but not real sure. My 79 standard gave me fits, until I repaired the wires going to the pick-ups. I replaced ignition coils, black boxes everything I could think of, ballast, reserve lighting. LOL. Later 'Dog

If your saying you swapped the wires on the ignition coils, that only confirms that the coils/wires/plugs are ok. Doesn't eliminate the box/pickup coils.

What light blue? there is no light blue. Do you mean Gray? And what do you mean by the term 'reading' , did you get the voltage swing as you cranked or not?
