  • Need a tach?

I have a tach off a Special but the needle wobbles. If anyone can use it or fix it lemme know and it's yours. First come first serve.

I just got done opening mine up and attempting to fix it. If it no longer works as a result of my handywork, I'll be letting you know.

        XS 1100 Tachometer

Mine (XS1100SG)started fluctuating shortly after I bought it a couple of years ago. I bought two used tachs which looked good but had the same problem. I thought the problem might be in the wiring to the tach but could find no problem. I finally found a new tach, installed it, and now it works perfectly. I suspect there is an inherent flaw which causes these tachometers to start working erratically. . . Bohn F.
