  • Tkat fork braces

Anyone heard from Tkat lately? I received a fork brace from him in December but when I tried to install it the other day I found it to be too big. It looks like the right model according to the pics on his site but it doesn't fit. I emailed him a few days ago but haven't had any response. Have any of you had this problem with the fit?

    Thanks,
    Jake Haynie

    Jake,
He sent a reply to a link on the Yahoo site yesterday. I work near his shop, and if you can give me more information on your bike, I can give him a call, or stop by the shop.

DiverRay, my bike is a 1981 xs11lh, 4w1 series. The one he sent looks like the right model, has the offset to clear the fender, but the I.D. of the collars is too big for the forks.

        Thanks,

Doesn't look like a Tkat to me. I just went to his site and looked at his pics. For the standard the X cross brace sits on top of the clamps. As you can see the brace does not sit on top of the clamps. It is recessed which gives you a thinner brace and also a thinner section on the clamp. Maybe it's an older style. Just thought I'd let you know.

There's always a way, figure it out.

Just a bit of info.......the one on ebay came off a standard and will NOT fit on the special cause of fender clearance. Just thought I'd throw that in there for those interested in it.
