      Jimbo,

Very resourceful! You make it look easy, very nice job!

On my windshield- I made sure it fit an XJ, it came with adapters that screwed into the threads for the mirrors ( just remember if using this type that the right hand mirror has counter clockwise threads).

The windshield was about 90 bucks at the Yamma robber, it was an aftermarket windscreen. It hits just right, and I can see over it if I sit up straight. Seems like the name was something with american in the name, but I'm at work now so can't go look, bikes at home now.

      Ride safe.

snip:The pic that you posted is of a National Cycle Plexifairing III. I just bought one for my bike. I love it.snip

John, is that on your sh? I have the Tracy Rocket 88 that was formerly on my old wing, and it just doesn't work well with the midnight special. The gap around the light is too big, and it's quite a pain to get on (plus it's really old and scratchy and has a red tint on the bottom!). I'm looking for a windshield that goes on and off quickly and is like a full fairing. Sound like this Plexifairing III you're talking about?

Might be worth modifying a Slipstreamer Mount

            Michael

Once installed, the Plexi III comes off with just four pieces of hardware. After having mine on for a couple of weeks, I can say that I really like it, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 'shield. $149 plus tax at JCWhitney.
