What a sweet ride!

filled up and added some heet (water remover) in the tank since tank had been pretty low for awhile (prob water due to condensation on side of the tank)
and went for a ride, thought to myself and said to my wife "man this baby runs good when its cool outside"

I ran it down the road about 5 mile and turned around and came back, pulled back in to park and it was purring like a tiger

well i added that stuff and some soafoam to my tank and rode a few miles today and man it acted like a totally different bike when i got home

Did the New Years day ride myself. Called a couple of buds up but either too hung over or didn't want to "dirty the chrome". Kind of moist but low 50s so I did about 75 miles around the county...Happy New Year.

I put on the rain gear and did about 15 miles. It was the test ride after the "new" transmission.
Bike runs and shifts great, thanks andreas I'm off again today with the rain gear, as I need to run a few errands.

Yeah, I love to ride when its cold outside she seems to have more power with the increased air density. Guess thats what a supercharger is all about (more air) sorta. Runs cooler and seems smoother. Maybe time for a tune up, maybe not? Anybody know the specs? Does the carbs compensate for increased air density or is the flow rate based solely on slide position? I don't really know the carb and nduction system. Anyway good to hear about any ride that is awsome for whatever reason!

Oh and sorry about the salt and ice over there, I've lived in the snow before, and now I'm enjoying the winter Don't worry spring is coming, (although not soon enough for some of us )

Its not eveyday I get to ride here either, right now its about 30 something and cloudy, yuck!

Sorry 84xj for your weather up there in the "Great White North",
But I guess it has to be white up there in winter hence the name.

i did manage to ride into the 30's here also. Had to stop when the snow flew though.

I've ridden about 100 miles this week running errands. It's been in the mid 70's all week here in sunny Tampa Florida. I rode in shorts and a t-shirt yesterday when I ran by the tag office to renew my auto tags for the year.

Hadn't ridden since I came down with the flu right after Thanksgiving except for once when I thought I'd gotten better. Then...relapse. Doctor says the double whammy is the earmark of the "A-California" flu strain. Flu shot I got at the beginning of November didn't do squat.

Tuesday I couldn't stand it any longer and broke out the 11 in spite of the rain and went for a little ride, the first of the new year. Yesterday went into Clearlake for some supplies. Nice 32 mile round trip, lots of smiles and waves from other riders except one grim-faced Harley guy with apes. Apehanger guys never wave. Sunny, time and temp sign at the old bank said 57 F.

I'll try and get a picture up, but the "daily ride" has been my push so far. I now have all 5 gears, so the next ride in the mountains will be NO PROBLEM
Once I have an engine stand built, I plan on starting in the the project. I have a feeling it may be a winter project for next year as well, just because of life and Murphy.

I certainly understand that. Last time I talked to Matt he acted like we may have the "west coast" rally up near Shasta. I hope to come.
