    Instrument cluster

Would the instrument cluster,(tach, speedo, center indicator lamps) be a 'plug & play' change-over using the 78-79 rectangle units to replace my rectangle units on my 81H?( Think you all can guess why I would wanna change em' out) Are the electrical circuits wired the same?
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

wire diagrams (xs11 cd) I'm looking at show different order? for instrument/indicator lights. While similar don't think they will plug and play.

78/79 are the same and 80/81 are same.
