Moto, John says motorbikes down here run backwards

Probably meant that when you guys flush (you do flush?) it spins backwards from our point of view and the Jap engineers just thought that they would make there bike spin backwards too, so it would appeal to you.

GNE, been scrounging around local trader sites for a cheap nitrous unit or components. Not a hell of a lot going at the moment. Still need to study up and get more clued up on the processes involved yet though. I can get hoses and compressed air components from a local dealer, but need to compare costs for single parts compared to a whole package. Quite possible to spend more bucks on a DIY job than on a new unit! Still keen on the idea though.

MRO, just checked, water went down the sink CLOCKWISE. Now, this has always been a mystery, what's it do up there? BTW, our low pressure weather systems spin clockwise. High pressure anticlockwise. Does this mean your cyclones are in fact anticyclones? Do your seagulls fly upsidedown?

hey mate, switches only need to be those tiny micro switches, on when the button is pushed in and off when released. rig up a mount so when you hit full throttle the tang on your carb hits the button. A seperate fuel line is not manditory but well worth the effort to install.plumbed into the nitrus circuit.as stated above if for ANY reason your fuel falls short chances are very good you'll be looking for a different motor. you may have good reactions but the NOS is quicker.....trust me.and actually if you shop around you can get a nos kit roughly 300-500 american. That will give you all the parts and bits you need to stay laffin..

              Still need to study up

              My thought

              make 2 manifolds, 1 for fuel, 1 for no2
(1 port for each carb and gas, 8 total)
need to know volume of gases needed
              jet manifolds accordingly
(manifolds could be made small enough to fit inside a stock air box)
Not sure where bottle and fuel pump would go

activate both w/solenoid valves connected to a single switch on handle bar. Need anouther switch (toggle) some where to arm/disarm system, in-line fuse wouldn't hurt.

manifold, could be 3/8" SS pipe w/fittings (reg. pipe cheep???)
jets, spraying systems has SS jets for industrial applications, but not made for fuels (good data on flow/pressure though) if correct flow determined, they might work. (about 6 to $10 ea.)

Don't know if this would blow up or not though

                    News just in from NASA.

An unusual satellite was spotted circling the equator at low orbit. Observers claim it's shaped like a motorcycle. Astronomer/motorcycle enthusiasts report it as a 'Yamaha XS1100.' Space station astronauts report it has a "dodgy looking fuel boost system of dubious design attached" Experts have no clues as to it's origin.

In other news, the chance discovery of a semi-naked individual floundering in the ocean 500 miles off the coast of Hawaii has experts scratching their heads. Fishermen report that the bedraggled and loudly swearing individual was clad in only a crash helmet and scorched leather jacket. Last reported as muttering something about "damn bargain mart fuel hose connecters..." Officials suspect the two incidents may be linked...

think my idea will work, just need the expesive stuff, selinoid valves and fuel pump.

do you know what nitrous costs?

Cheapo from gas outlets, foundries, welding shops etc.. Best to own a large bottle and fittings yourself. Fill your small bottle at your own leisure then.

Almost sounds like a contradiction of terms
Doesn't Pat or John work in a hospital?
Not sure if their deadheads though

                            btw
I've got an account at the local welding supply
Would their gas be the same as what you'd want to run in a bike?
