Yeah I cured some paint in the oven once. I didn't think it smelled THAT bad. Rebuilding my dirt bike in the back room got a few comments.
Huh...when the ex finally left I put my honda in the living room for the winter. Took pictures of it to sell on e-bay while in there. Man it was nice to have the house to myself. Nice pictures though. My bike nice and toasty in my victorian house with wood floors, the red oriental rug that complimented the tank and the leaded glass window behind it showing the snow outside. hehehehe. Why does that make me feel so good?
Although my girlfriend now would hane to kill me if I tried it again.
A guy just can't win. I guess the ladies in our lives are there to show us the "way", but then I've never been too good at stopping to ask for directions.

My wife has been pretty understanding over the years. She has let me…..

Rebuild a VW engine on the kitchen counter.

Rebuild my youngest sons ’82 750 Maxim in the living room.

Clean carburetors and numerous other parts on the coffee table.

Wet sand parts in the bathtub.

Bake uncounted parts I’ve painted over the years in the kitchen oven.

But she drew the line when I tried to take the French doors down in the living room so I could bring in a ski boat I needed to sand and paint. I just wanted to be in an air conditioned place since my shop only had a fan.

My old lady doesn't rant and rave too much, or maybe its because the surround sound is too loud playing the football game on the big screen. Nothing like rebuilding some carbs watching the game in the living room. However She did have a fit when she came home and there sat a tank and 2 side cover curing on her brand new kitchen table.........I said what? I've got paper down!!

I must know more about this curing paint in the oven. Do I set it on the lowest setting and for how long?
