  • Getting Yelled At By SWMBO?? Why??

Just because I am using the coffee table in the front room to take my carbs apart? I told her its too cold to work in the basement, might catch a cold, the flu, pneumonia, then I would be dead???

    Why has she no compassion?

(Course the thought of me being dead DID bring a smile to her face, I think its the poolboy)

Guess I just can't please her.

I had a Suzuki GS750 engine, frame, and wheels (all seperate) in my living room when I married swmbo...the carbs were apart on the coffee table and the wiring harness was staked out on the kitchen table (new connectors/ect).

She married me anyway...she knows what she's got...

Same thing happened to me this week. Was hanging out when I heard "d_ _ it" come from the kitchen. I knew what it was about, I had run my lowers thru the dishwasher prior to painting them and forgot they were in there. Has similar reaction when she found my carb bodies in the dishwasher. Not near as loud as the time I converted the bathroom into a paint booth.

Looks like you could use a crash course in SWMBO Compatibility. If that doesn't help, then you have my sympathies.

She has no compression? Has she blown a gasket? Are her valves leaking? Her advance might be off, because many SWMBOs loose vacuum soon after marriage.

The dishwasher works well for cleaning wheel covers, especially the wire ones.

SWMBO got all bent out of shape when she came home and found my biking buddy, my XS 400 engine on peices on a blue tarp and myself all on our beige rug about 15 years ago. There was much stammering, "ers" and "uhs" and some weak excuse about cold. Must have said something right, it's been 18 years, she's still here, the rug is long gone.

                          Jack,

Sorry about your plight but I consider myself lucky to be allowed in the basement. Other choice is the garage or storage shed, and that my friends is a cold place today is this deep freezer called Michigan.

My carb bodies have seen the dishwasher as well. Up until that point my wife seriously doubted I knew how the machine worked. And she did point out quite clearly that this machine was called a DISH washer.
I have a bike and I am not afraid to use it

Actually she's pretty good about it. After all, she's put up with me for 34 years.

Never could get her to ride pillion though, didn't even want to own her own.

Its in the 50's here today, sun shining, birds singing, just bought our tree and its sitting in the driveway after being soaked down.
