  • Shallow dents in tank

Does anyone have a good solution for removing shallow dents and dings in the tank? I heard that it may be possible to pop them by heating up the surface and then applying dry ice.

I believe Dragonrider has a group of photos detailing a method he used here

I think I've seen a coupla other methods mentioned too. A search should yield many things.

I need to give that a try. My problem is that while the dent is shallow, it's 3 small dents in a concentrated area. I'll report back when I try it.

I can vouch for the "Pops a Dent" (as seen on TV). It works great. Took out a couple of dents in my LG tank and on the side of our Suburban (and the neighbors Nissan and the other neighbors Chevy).

I can vouch for this method. Tried it a couple weeks ago and it worked like a champ. Just follow his instructions and you shouldn't have any problems at all.
