I walked to my storage unit to start the bikes this afternoon. I went to start the Yamaha and it started popping right away. I went to shut it off and found out I took off the vacuum caps to examine them and forgot to put them back on. Yes they are needed and the popping showed they were missing. I have new ones in my tool box in my Moms house.

,,,glad you caught it and its going to run Much better. I have Mcguyvered capping those vacuum ports on previous bikes with a piece of vac hose and a Golf Tee,,,works but looks a little strange,,,,Keep on Riding...Mike in S.Diego and Pa
