    Timing issue

After rebuilding my carbs and deleting the notorious octopus vacuum, I am wondering where the line coming out of the left side engine case goes. I was under the impression this was just a vent line but have since realized its more than that. Something about timing advance? Still not exactly sure and can't seem to find much info on it. If someone could explain what the purpose of this line/where I can put it that would be great. I'm sure there's plenty of info already on here about it but seeing as I don't know what it's called it's hard to find anything. Thanks in advance.

There is a nipple for the hose on the top front of the #3 carb. You do not want to connect to the nipples on the intake boots. Let us know if you need a visual to locate the correct spot.

Ray, I know you meant to say #2 carb.

sounds good. Thanks for the clarification. Bike still won't idle or run right but at least I know it's not that.
