Are the diaphragms in the 79sf carb the same as those in the 81-82 SG/SH model bikes?

They are NOT the same. I do not think they can interchange, O D is different, and the needles are different.put something smooooth betwen your legs, XS eleven

The 78-79 series will mix/match, and the 80-81-82 will mix match, but not across these 2 different year sets!

Ihave some used 78/79 carb diaphrams in my parts pile if ya need am. Three I think. andreasComment

About a year ago, I saw some on ebay, a fellow from Greece had them, I think about 30 NOS parts. I was a little leary, but I bought 4 for $14.00 each, and they were the correct ones for 78-79 carbs, and in perfect shape. Now I wish I would have gotten all he had.put something smooooth betwen your legs, XS eleven
