This site need some form of "Thread Reply" lock down. Too many times, as I'm writing, three or four other posts get posted before I can finish, with disasterous results, such as happened here. VikingDon's post should have been held in limbo till mine was finished. An offer to help...(though a forgery, and a poorly done one at that), being posted after the cure was found. This is insanity! My reputation could have been ruined.

What a nightmare! ...was dreamin' about fuel tees! The ironic part is... I was putting together the carbs for my '79 Special yesterday, too, and did the same thing! ...only caught it when looking between the carbs and noting that the vent tee wasn't centered between the bodies like the other one. Had these things leaked on me, I never would have made the conection!

Too scared to try to go back to sleep... might as well go to the kitchen and bake a humiliating "Humble Pie" for breakfast.

Well the 80G is the first bike I've bothered to wrench myself. Never had to even change my own oil on a bike before

Can't talk XSive carb's etc.. so what you expect

That will change in time. Will finish getting 80G running tip/top and then this summer will start on the 80LG. Reading the posts here has gotten me ridding agin.
