Hey JazzRat, Ive got an extra starter button, also a piece I custom made untill replacement got here. Your tach problem will take some poking around. Is your 1100 vin # begin with a 3h3 ?

                Hey Jazzrat,
Glad the tach worked for ya, must've jolted it just right =) wouldnt hurt to lube it too.
Sat I planned on installing new float seats and needles, then tuning. It had better stop the floodin airbox, which has givin me lots o pratice on getting those carbs out. Sunday better ?
Also, do you have a vac synch tool or colortune? I can bring mine along if you like.

Knock out your pins in the vents in the airbox.
should stop the carb leak if it's not your needles/seats or level.

Did you drill out the pins on the pickup assy?

Replace the pointer to actual TDC. Make sure the advance is in the pin and the trigger isn't 180 off. Install the timing plate with the bolt in it so you don't end up 180 off on the plate.

                      Now check the timing.

my 750 had a flooding airbox after the carbs were rebuilt, but that stopped after a few days for some reason...

Maybe the leak ran the gas tank dry?

I really don't undestand it... the first 50 miles after the carbs were rebuilt every time I'd stop and put it on the sidestand gas would run out... then, after that 50 miles (I have put 300 or so on it) it hasn't done it again...

I've seen bikes do that with their floats set incorrectly or loose floats that stick to the sides of the bowl when tilted. Why yours stopped.... I dunno.

                                Hey viking,

I didn't see in your posts if you have checked your needles for a wear ring around them, or if you have polished you seats with chrome polish or not.

My XJ had overflowing carbs and it turned out to be worn needles and dirty seats also float hieght set to high (upside down would be to low- so set at about 23 or 24 mm)

the #4 would overflow at stop light, turned out to have a ridge on the needle and the seat.

                                Good luck,

Oh, btw I got the needles from Mikes650 for about 4 bucks apiece or for needle and seat set $10 apiece.
