    XJ1100 Battery

    Planning to replace the battery , just wondering if most just use the 24HL or is there a better choice out there you would recommend

      I like the AGM batteries, but on the XJ you need to make the bypass for the water level. There is a thread in here about that. My two older XS bikes don't have that issue, and the AGM holds up well all winter with just one charge about January.

        Thanks to you folks on here I was able to do the resistor bypass of the sensor, I'm currently looking at lead acid and calcium acid agm's

          Whatever you decide to buy just make sure it is a high-quality battery. The old saying of you get what you pay for really applies to batteries. There are far too many cheap batteries on the market. I don't know what you have available to you in Canada versus what we have in the States, but the real key is the materials used in the construction of the lead plates. Once you do choose and invest make sure you get a good quality trickle charger to maintain the battery. Much debate concerning those a well. I say get a charger that also actually maintains the battery once fully charged.
