    Shop manual.

    Morning
while rebuilding the engine on my XS, the manual i have which I'm sure was reprinted countless times. The pictures are hard to see details. Most of them are to dark and black and white to make out details. Is there a manual out that has nice sharp images? I am a pretty visual person and like to have a nice picture for reference as i go through the repair process.

For what it's worth I have *two* physical factory yamaha XS1100 shop manuals. I can try to scan a few pages if needed unless someone else on here can provide you with some decent quality pics/pdfs off-hand.

Ringler.us | My Bike You can download a manual from this site. You can also do a search on Ebay for a Clymer manual that will have better pictures in it.

I have the Clymer now. But you know how those manuals are, reproduced so many times that the pictures lack details. I managed but was hoping to find something better. This bike will never leave my possession much like my Victory Vision and my K5 blazer.

For what it's worth I've got a Haynes manual and the pictures are quite good. It's nice to have a "hard copy" in your hands at times although a factory service manual covers things far better even if it is a download.

I've got an original Canadian Yamaha service manual - covers '78 - '80 with '80 addendum at the back. Pretty thick book as everything is printed out in English & French. Showing the proper "patina" that a properly appreciated manual should - lots of greasy fingerprints!

I PM'd you with the engine section from the '78 manual. These were scanned from my book, and are in good condition. I do have parts books as well, and that may also be a good reference as they have "blow apart" pictures. let me know via PM.
