    Ordering Stainless head studs

All, I'm ordering a set of Stainless head studs from A.R.P. in Ventura, CA. I will be ordering two sets, as I have one engine I'm working on, and want a spare set for my daily ride when it needs a rebuild. I'll let everyone know what the cost is, but I'm putting this out because I may be able to have them keep the specs, and others can order them as well. There will probably be a wait for me, as I need to send in one each of the stock studs so they can do testing and verify strength on the new parts. Let me know if your interested and I'll see if I can get a price break with a larger order.

Are they requesting a new stud or a used one? Testing a used one sounds awfully sketchy since it's already been stretched.

They can test a used stud, as they know it's been stretched. They DO make studs for the FJ's, so they probably have a lot of info on the Yamaha requirements. I'm just trying to get the stainless so the engine looks good without rust. I know the two long studs ARE showing signs of rust, as do the front middle studs that Yamaha put a plastic cover on.

I saw something but didn't get a chance to read it before it "went away"! If you send to my normal email, gmail does NOT like me, and usually will not allow it.
