14 mm front brake master cylinder on XS1100SG

    I run a 13mm with SS lines on my Standard, lever feels a bit mushy like rubber line flex would but it is pure 100% stopping power with a nice linear feel. I can chirp the front wheel if needed. My reason for doing this is no 14mm coffin style Brembo is available.

      I went from 14 to 11 on my XS650 that has only one caliper. It’s good. My XS1100 is stock and it isn’t broken. Stock feels very wooden. I thought I might upgrade with parts on hand. The opinion poll says it won’t work, so I won’t fix what isn’t broke.

        When using the chart, 12-1 to 14-1 ratio is the sweet spot when running single piston calipers
