Hey all just thought I'd make a post for all my modifications and also to ask some questions so here goes.
1981 xs1100 special I got from my Uncle whose had it for the past 30 years. I made the mistake of making a bunch of mods before I really started trying to daily it and I'm basically going to undo most of it just for comfort and ridability.
I just bought a great parts bike and the plan is to basically turn my special into a Venture. The first question I have is I'm trying to ID the fairing for parts. The donor bike is allegedly and 81 but I can't find a vetter fairing with the square headlight. My fairing is in great shape but the headlight housing is broken so It looks like I'll have to rivet in a new one unless y'all have a better idea.
Thanks again for stopping by. Hopefully I can restore this to a great daily (40 miles highway 20 miles city). Couldn't get the photos in order so I captioned them.
