Intake boots from eBay seller Georgefix

Finally got around to swapping out my old intake boots with a set I bought from eBay seller Georgefix early last spring. Now I know there's plenty of cheap ones out there for as low as $25 and it was a bit of a gamble to go for the knock-offs but considering the sellers reputation for offering good quality aftermarket parts I decided it was worth the risk.

In no way would I think these are cheaply made. The vacuum ports are very solidly seated into the intake flange and there's little to no left over flack on them from the molding process. They bolted right up into place and offered a snug but not overly tight fit when it was time to replace the carb rack. For $46 and change out the door and in your mailbox I'll recommend them.

Bought a set 2 years ago-still in the garage in the package as the old boots are still holding up.

Mine where cracking pretty bad when I bought the bike 2 1/2 years ago and I gave them a coat of black RTV. They've held up well enough but I had a suspicion that if I pulled to carbs they might not hold up. Sure enough the cracks opened up and got bigger while removing the carbs but upon later inspection none of them went all the way through to the inside that I could see.

Sadly, the carb kits I got from him were the ones that had the cheepee Taiwan parts. (O_o)

Made the bike run like garbage. I did all the checks/tests on the other systems you can think of and MoAr. Checks all showed other systems and their components as good so I BELIEVED those tests. Didn't get sucked down the rabbit hole of upgrading/replacing/modifying other components... (_Oo)

Swapped out the GFix Kit carbs with my "Test Bank" of carbs which are known good runners and Bike ran like a superbike again. (^_^)

Ended up removing GFix Kit jets and replacing with Genuine Mikuni. 2 of the four float needles/seats were defective and letting fuel flow up/over the bowl so replaced them with parts from K&L kits. (ﾟ ヘﾟ)

Had to build the "carb pagoda" and set up to view the actual fuel levels in each bowl as neither the GFix kits OR the K&L kits needles/seats would get the fuel level correct simply by adjusting the float height to the proper distance per the repair manual. (⊙_☉)

Those GFix Carb Kits and those Kits ALONE were enough to make my super bike run so badly that after 63 miles? (O_o)

I would have given it away fOaR free. (ノ`⌒´)ノ┻┻

Sadly, tho I was the one who happened to buy those kits and managed to correctly troubleshoot/diagnose my way OUT of that bad situation? （>﹏<）

The same kit(s) and the others like them coulda gone to someone else who would NOT likely have a positive outcome. (´;︵;`)
