Clocked my 81H at 122mph at redline in 4th half a bike length back from my Honda ST1100, as the ST was starting to pull harder on the top-end and also had longer legs for 5th. Both in full dress form, not bad for 24yr. old school tech., and did that gear for gear, actually out pulling Honda in 1st from a "clutched" 15mph rolling start! (That 122mph came from Honda speedo as the 81H has the 85mph speedo)

Yeah, the 85 mph speedo kinda sucks. I've had the needle buried in 3rd gear at redline on my 81H. Wondered how fast I was actually going in 3rd gear and what that would mean for top speed in 4th and 5th.Comment

yes the xs1100 will hold its own i mean yes there are faster bikes out the but for being 24 yesars old what do you want79 yamaha xs1100f standard
