Can someone take a picture of the helmet lock area on the 80 SG- I can buy a new oem stock unit but without taking off the seat where does it mount? Does nayone actually use it?

The helmet lock is attached to the bike with two pan head screws and lock washers. I use mine all the time. I attach my helmet with the two steel d rings and put the passenger foot peg down and the helmet rests on the footpeg. Here is a diagram off of partzilla that shows where it attaches. The silver part of my helmet lock broke off years ago. It wasn't very strong, and anyone could have pried it off with a small screwdriver. Now I use a master lock and lock the helmet to my sissy bar. Works much better.1979 XS1100 Special - On the Road https://xs11.club/core/images/smilies/smile.png
