        That system doesn't have much clearance to the ground, I saw one on a lowered Special at a bike show. The bottom of the #4 pipe was dented on this one...

          Keep in mind there are two versions of this exhaust. Megaphone (quiet) and Straight (loud).

            Great exhaust for the price. Especially these days. I have ridden through a few months of snow & salt on mine (KZ750B) and there is no corrosion. My old MAC pipes would have to be sandblasted and painted every year. I really like them.

              DEEBS11, nice fuel gauge on the tank.
              79 F full cruiser, stainless brake lines, spade fuses, Accel coils, modded air box w/larger velocity stacks, 750 FD.
              79 SF parts bike.

                Red Bandit, those have been there for over 10 years now (2013). I recently restored the tank due to rust around the old badge slots and especially underneath where the surface gets hot. Salt corrosion loves heat (like exhaust systems). The fuel tube is new Viton. You can see the level of fuel in the picture. Works great. Did you notice the 47 Indian Chief style bung welded to the top to eliminate the crappy "snap cap" type of filler?

                      I have had good luck with starting 1 jet size bigger on pilot (45) and main (120) and then ride to adjust later. The stock main depends on your year bike. Mine had a 115 in it and 120 seems to run the best with no airbox and fairly restrictive MAC pipes. I think they all have 42.5 pilots. The midrange was much better with the stock (1980 style) needle. I tried a thin shim but it ran a little too rich in hot weather. My area is about sea level. Keep in mind higher elevations run richer naturally.

                      Only use genuine Mikuni parts. If you don't, your bike will never run correctly. That is a fact.

                        DEEBS, you are 100% correct. Only use genuine Mikuni parts. The cheap stuff will attract the Green Gremlin.
