    Front brake light switch

My bad on the title. Got turned around. No, not the clutch, but the brake light switch on the front brake master cylinder. Can't figure out how to remove it. Any help?

By the way, a few days ago I picked up my second XS, a '79 model, for $450. It's rough. The brake master cylinder on that one will need a rebuild. Are the K&L kits decent?

That is the brake light switch, look on the bottom of the housing where the switch goes and you will see a hole. With a small screwdriver, push the retaining tab down and pull out the switch.

      Thanks, Phil!

I entered the wrong title in my query the first time and posted it, and the site would not allow me to edit that part of the post.

Yep, the K&L kit should be fine.
