  • Mustang Seat

I've been through a lot of XS11's... buying, selling, restoring etc. But Here's something I have never seen before. A mustang seat made for a 1979 special. Have you?

Very novel - I've never seen one like that.

Makes me think of plush furniture.

Looks to me like an '80 - '81 Special as the rear is raised for the taillight
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
      1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
      1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
      1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
      1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

Yeah, it looks like that from the first pictures I posted, But Here's a better picture from the rear that shows it sitting down very close to the fender and would be even closer if I tightened it down. And also, the original tag labeling it for "xs1100 special 1979". It's probably twice as heavy as a stock seat and I gotta say... It's really comfortable! I have no idea how much, but I bet it was very pricey when bought new.

79 foot pegs & kickstart shaft. I think 80 81 have a reflector on the rear shocks.
79 F full cruiser, stainless brake lines, spade fuses, Accel coils, modded air box w/larger velocity stacks, 750 FD.
          79 SF parts bike.
