I've sold two of my four bikes and have a third sale pending. If I wasn't retiring from this hobby, I'd certainly be looking into this one:

    1978 Yamaha XS1100 - motorcycles/scooters - by owner - vehicle... (craigslist.org)

    Bob's Bikes:
    79SF, Military theme bike

    Bob's websites:

    https://rucksackgrunt.com

    Bob's Books:
    "
    Project XS11"
    "Rucksack Grunt"
    "Jean's Heroic Journey"

    Bob's Parts:
    For Sale Here.

It's been great to see reasonably priced "needs some fiddlin'" bikes coming back onto the market again. Was truly not looking forward to my hobby becoming unaffordable.
    1980 XS1100G

I identify as a man but according to the label on a package of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four!

Forwarded this on to my brother, he lives near State College PA, has been enjoying his immaculate '79 XS750F but ever since reading Bob Jones' book I think he might be tempted by an XS Eleven! A 78 especially.
      Yamahas: 1979 XS1100F
      Past Yamahas: 1978 XS1100E, 1976 XS500C

I have no connection to the seller but I thought someone on here might be interested. I'll be curious to know if your brother checks it out.

He's going to check it out this weekend, fingers crossed! Bike looks to have a decent amount of corrosion from moisture over the years, it had been stored in a barn with a cover on it by the sound of it.
