      Stevo...

Glad to hear you found someone who could take care of it for you. If you hadn't, I would've made the trip down and picked the lock for you. I'm working on starting my own locksmithing business, but for right now all I do is lock outs and such. Still need to buy the key cutting equipment along with the many many blanks I might need.

I have the same problem with a couple tanks I have. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a locksmith that will open the tanks that cheap. The local locksmith told me $30 each just to open them.

          Highway Robbery...

I d@mn sure wouldn't pay $30 bucks a pop for something I know for a fact can be done in 30-45 seconds. Hell, I can do it in under a minute with 1 tool, and I'm not a "seasoned professional." I would definately find someone cheaper, or just learn to pick locks, lol.

These are standard tanks. I've put a lot of effort into trying to jummy the caps and I don't think it can be done without damaging something.

Hower there's no way in hell I'm paying 30 bucks per to open them. I just haven't gotten around to shopping for a better price.

I might be able to put my hands on the spare lock pick I have. If I can, I could mail it too you ((with instructions on how to use it)) and let you pick them yourself ... then just mail the pick back to me with whatever price you feel it was worth.

                What do you think?

I'm willing to give it a try but I've never sucessfully picked a lock in my life.

The plan is once they're open take the locks apart and remove the tumblers so that any Yamaha key will open them.
