  • Piston to Cylinder wall Clearance.

    Hello friends,

I have an xs1100 engine currently being built at my local machine shop. The machinist is asking me for the factory piston to cylinder wall clearance. I don't have a factory service manual to look that up. Does anyone happen to know?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

0.050 to 0.055mm is factory clearance.

Ah, but what year is that for? I looked up the '80 in my manual, as that is what his signature states he has.

You are absolutely correct Mr Ray! Thank you for catching my error. Good eye...
I went back and checked the SG supplement in the back of the manual.
The edited correction has been made to my original post.
