The original engine I removed on my 81H Venturer I noticed has slotted ignition module, and degree markings. The 81 engine I installed has a fixed module with no timing adjustment. Is the difference because one being earlier manufacture date than other? Is there any real advantage to having an adjustment. (also on inside of left side cover, gives specs, which are sea level, at 5 degrees advance and rpm setting. Would this offer any noticable advantage if I opt to rebuilt original engine, maybe using earlier cam configurations, and being at higher altitude than most here? Just throwing this out there for your thoughts.
