My tach has stopped working and my speedo only goes to 80mph. I'm a person that likes to see accurate RPMs and speed, and on the freeway my current setup provides none of that info. Also I don't understand the concept petcocks with reserve. I'd rather know how much is in the tank, than have it run out of gas before I switch the petcocks. I installed aftermarket petcocks on mine, with no reserve tube height, so I can use all the gas that's in my tank. I just switch them on reserve and forget it.
My fuel light does work but I would rather have more information than just "low fuel".
Here's my plan, I'm decided on the TNT-04 by Koso North America, and using this universal sending unit to send info to the gauge. The guage can be configured to read 510 ohms, which is what the unit sends.
The gear indicator works by using an accelerometer inside the gauge that has to learn how you drive.
The Tach can just be attached to the positive pickup, and the speedo comes with its own sensor.
I'll post my updates here but I plan on using every indicator on this gauge!
