    nearly complete

This site has been a great resource. Just wanted to say thanks. I am sure I will still need more help. Just have to make a seat. This bike has not been a roller since 2013.

Keep in mind the brakes ARE from the late '70's! Go easy until you know how much road you really need to bring the bike to a safe stop.
For the seat, I use closed cell foam on mine, and it works MUCH better than the open cell of the original seat.

Last Friday the weather was nice enough to go for the maiden voyage. I have ridden several different 4 cylinder cycles from this era. This bike exceeds my expectations. Best $500 I ever spent on a cycle. This forum has been very helpful in getting this bike running well again.

Congratulations! Do you have a pic of the completed project? How did your seat turn out?
