Alternator cover disassemble/reassemble procedure

Bike died on me, popped the 30a fuse. I got it home and replaced the fuse started it up fine then as it came back down to an idol I heard bad sounds coming from the alt cover. The 3 center bolts may have been loosened up at some point in the past. . It smells burnt and the hub part I can sort of rattle around which may be where the noise is coming from.

Can anybody offer guidance on taking that hub apart and re-assembling it? Do you think it's toast?

Loose bolts holding the hub...it seems to be charging fine now! Embarrassed...

Check all the screws and bolts every once in a while!

Hopefully you put a couple of drops of blue Loctite on those bolts.

No, do they have a way of working themselves loose? Maybe I did tighten them. I will take them out one at a time and add the drops. Thanks!

If they were loose the loctite will just give you some insurance that they won't get loose again.
