  • Alternative headlight bracket options??

One of my headlight ears got bent up when I hit a deer a few years back…I straightened it out, but I wanted to see if any of you guys have used different brackets at all; see if you had any suggestions. I’m eventually gonna put a maier fairing on there, and I want to make sure that it’s PERFECTLY STRAIGHT before I do that! I’ll get replacement ears if all else fails!

A headlight assembly from a 1982 Yamaha XJ 650 RJ SECA will fit. Have one on my 78 e project. Advantage is a large 9 inch round headlight, no ears, mounts to gauge cluster bracket,

My XS came with a Pichler full fairing installed when i bought it about +20 years ago.
Bike been standing still last 18 years but finally took the time to restore it to good working condition last three months or so.
Time to get rid of the old fairing now that it is a runner again and have been looking for headlight and brackets. Not an easy find for a XS1100S 5k7 in black chrome and missing the rubber parts etc.
I have finally decided to get a LED headlight and non-XS brackets.
Ordered aluminium brackets from china but still waiting for them to arrive. They come in size fitting the XS 37mm front fork pipes
