  • Need advice: One stop shop?

    My fellow yammies,
need advice. I'm restoring a standard eleven. She's never been touched so I'm in for a ton of parts. Shopping for individual parts and paying for shipping adds up.

Is there a go to, one stop shop to combine all the shipping cost?

    TIA

Not that I am aware of. We have a member that is selling a bunch of standard parts all for $400.00. Of course he is asking for whoever wants them to pick them up in the Dallas area. Maybe you can work out a deal with him and set up a one time freight shipment. Much cheaper, but of course you would probably have to hire someone or business to handle the packing and shipping unless the seller would work with you on that. Might be worth a chat anyways.

Many of us use Partzilla for OEM seals and gaskets:

I use partsNmore, they have a lot of decent quality stuff for our bikes. They are in Ontario Canada so shipping may be slow, although they have been faster recently.

I just tried one that was recommended to me called PartShark, they have OEM and faster than Partzilla and somewhat cheaper.

Member andreashweiss has many parts, and he is very reasonable and reliable. He's a good source.

I buy a lot of parts and tools from Parts-n-More. I am happy with the products they sell. Usually they have the best prices if you find what you need.

Even while the pandemic is going on, shipping time to Michigan has been quite acceptable because they use FedEx. FedEx seems to do much better with customs than the alternatives.
