  • Info on XS 7 1/2 where to look?

I have a 1977 XS 750 that needs a regulator/rectifier. The microfiche shows both a regulator/rectifier unit and also separates. Anyone know which way I should go or maybe a specific Yamaha triples forum? Thanks

There was a XS750 forum (Yamaha-Triples.org) that fizzled out a few years ago.

One of the Triples members tried to make a new site, and include other XS models as well, but it barely got off the ground before it was neglected.

There is a Triples site in the UK, but it's not overly active.

It seems most of the activity is currently on Facebook, but I am not a Facebook member, so I don't know too much about it.

Meanwhile, I see what you mean about the regulator in the 1977 parts fiche. I don't recognize 1L9-81910-50-00 VOLTAGE REG ASSEMBLY.

In later years, there is only one regulator shown, and it is what I recognize: 1T4-81960-A0-00 RECTIFIER/REG ASSEMBLY. This same part shows up on the 1977 XS750 fiche. Note it is exactly the same the XS1100 regulator/rectifier. I am pretty sure this is what you are looking for. On my XS750SF, it's under the battery on the left side- look for the cooling fins..

          Thanks all.
Another question on the xs750 please. Does anyone have a picture of the 4 fuse factory panel and it’s mounting position also showing the position it’s harness goes. Thanks much

(...as I mentioned in your other post)

Maybe later today I can take pictures if I go to the barn as planned.
