    thanks

Just wanted to drop a line, and thank all the awesome members who gave me help restoring my xs1100e
after finishing it and riding it around a bit, decided to sell it , partially because it was a little too fast , to good looking to scratch, and couldn't bear to sell my 95 S2 BUELL, since have only room for one bike,
the buyer came from NY, flew down to austin, had friend bring him to house, was very impressed, rode back to austin and then left for LA
    Thanks Again

Glad you found someone who likes the bike. Now that you did ride it, you will probably miss it! I'd put money that you end up looking for an XS again, this time to keep. The Buell is quick and handles well, but the XS you can do hundreds of miles per day with no problems. In 2006 I did Stillwater, OK to Cleaveland, OH in 23 hours, on my '79 standard, just to see if I could do it.

It feels good to bring a neglected bike back to a condition that can be appreciated. Glad you were able to get one back on the road even though the bike didn't fit your needs at the moment.
