Mysentiments exactly. I can't stand the riding position more than a few minutes. But to be honest with you most younger guys can't either. I've friend that has a 1000 cc Gixxer. He rides with us about 45 minutes and has to take a break. As far as I'm concerned that's a worthless bike.

Dunno about you but I'll always have an Eleven in the stall. They are just great bikes...period. As a matter of fact I gotta make a run to Reno to pick up Zilla. Mr. Matt says he's back in one piece and ready to ROLL! WooHoo!!!!

Since I sometimes ride with a local Star Riders chapter I'm familiar with the Warrior, the only cruiser with an aluminum frame. There's a couple in the chapter with matching Warriors. The wife has aftermarket pipes and air kit and her bike really rocks. Dunno how it'd fair against an XS11 though, haven't ridden with them since I got mine.Shiny side up,

XS1100SF "Rusty", runs great, 96k miles
XS650SJ "The Black Bike", engine from XS650H with 750cc big bore kit, 30k miles
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting, "WOW, what a ride !" - Sprung

Well Mike...if it is a stock warrior and the rider is mediocre in skill you should readily thump him. After all ...it's just a V-Twin..
However I've seen some Warriors tricked out that are putting well over 100 ponies to the pavement. So you'll have to know what you're up against.

Hey there Kenobi, also have an XS 1100H and love it. Also have the Honda ST, and ahave ridden the FJR1300. The FJR is an awesome bike, falling into the super tour class. It will stand up on one wheel in any of the first three gears with a swist of the throttle, no clutch! You sit in a little of an attack position, not bad, but not the best as it is not a nuetral position for long distance, least not in my opinion. At 145hp, ceramic lined cyl. etc., it is quick for a sport touring bike. My ST at a 110horse is plenty, and with the Corbin tour seat, bar riser-extentions, makes for a good, comfortable long distace bike, and at 48-53mpg at 80-85mph with two-up, it's plenty for me, rated at 0-100@11sec.(FJR 0-100@7.4sec.) With all that, my 81H still has the best nuetral riding position with the king-queen seat, and gold-wing style bars. (I'm sure having the rode pegs also plays a part for the XS 1100 being comfortable too.)81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.
