  • Parts Available

I realized this may not be the section for this...but the classifieds link is broken, so I don't know where to put it. So if I'm stepping on any toes posting this here, would an admin please delete? Thanks.

I have a few parts available. All came off of a 1980 XS11 Standard with 35K miles. Ran when parked, but has been sitting for years. I have an engine, almost complete (missing a side cover and some small bolt ons), a rear wheel with caliper, and the drive assembly from the rear wheel.

Parts are located in Portsmouth, Virginia and are available for pickup only. This stuff is too heavy to box and ship, I don't want to lug it to the post office! Absolutely no reasonable offer will be refused for this stuff. I have too many projects and the XS stuff needs to be moved. Thanks.

Was that originally an midnight special engine or was it painted later?

I couldn't tell you Geezer. I don't know much of the bike's history. The guy I got it from was an old work acquaintance that had about 15 bikes. He had ridden this one for a while and parked it in his driveway under a cover. When he moved from Virginia to California he shipped two bikes to the West Coast and sold the rest dirt cheap. He modified most of his stuff, and this bike had a jet kit and Kerker 4-1 exhaust on it, but I think it was the original engine. The paint looks factory, but it is not all black. Side covers are plain aluminum, if that makes a difference.

The carbs were sold a while ago and the Kerker exhaust disintegrated when I tried to remove it.
