does anyone know where to get crashbar to fit 79 xs11 std i'd like to have conveniant place to mount highway pegs. my bike has kerker 4 into 1 pipes .i can make one (crashbar) if neccesary but it would certainly be easier to buy one that fits ....... or can be modified to fit

I have a one piece crash bar made of chrome for the xs1100. Comes with the brackets to mount.Chrome is OK. Will polish up and look OK. Lots of room to mount footpegs. e-mail me at andreashweiss@yahoo.com

thanks for #'s iv'e inquired about both sets.. one set is off special .. are they the same? mine is standard.. pictures look wierd .. look like they mount inside and outside front tubes//do you know if 4 into 1 pipes get in way . thanks steve

Those smaller crash bars will bolt right up. Doesn't matter what model of XS11 the bike is. Even the large bars should fit. The pipes and forks should be a problem either.

Just a small digression....

When I put my 3-point bars on the XJ, with stock exhaust, I had to notch the bar on the right side to fit around the stock pipe. When I went to the Jardine 4 into 2 pipes I had to notch the left side as well for the same reason.

I also had to hunt up a longer top engine mounting bolt, as the stock one was to short when it came time to put on the bars. Not a problem, local hardware store had what I needed, but just note you may have to do the same.

Not all bars interchange with out modification if you include 3-point, 2-point, and the XJ in your list.
