Triking a Yamaha

My wife has a XVS1100 that she wants to trike. Has anyone converted to a trike and did you use a kit or do it yourself.

Its not a trike. It's an outrigger unit that is removable so that you can either "trike" it out and then remove it and have a 2 wheeler to ride around on.
